IR-EMPOWER is the community workshop dedicated specifically to infrared emissivity measurement: techniques and protocols, intercomparisons and databases, modelling and simulation, and thermophysical metrology and its applications. Where the field’s larger conferences treat emissivity as one topic among many, IR-EMPOWER is the meeting where it is the only topic — the laboratories of the research map in one room.
The series was founded in 2024 by the Thermomat / HAIRL group at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in Bilbao, and continues with editions hosted by member laboratories of the network.
