Why it matters internationally

ONERA’s DOTA department institutionalizes the optical-properties measurement chain for French aerospace research: a dedicated laboratory (MELOPEE) measures spectral and polarized optical properties of materials, coatings, and paints, and the results are capitalized in the MEMOIRES thermo-optical database that feeds infrared signature modelling.
