The Thermomat / HAIRL group at the University of the Basque Country (EHU) has joined GDR TAMARYS, the CNRS research group (groupement de recherche) on thermal radiation–matter interaction, materials for extreme environments and high-temperature systems, coordinated by Benoît Rousseau (CNRS, LTeN Nantes).
TAMARYS links French laboratories and industrial partners around problems where radiation decides the outcome, from decarbonising high-temperature processes to reusable thermal protection for spacecraft. Emissivity, the property the Thermomat group measures and curates in the EKHI database, sits at the centre of that agenda.
The group’s contact in the network is Iñigo González de Arrieta. Members of the group attended the network’s thematic school on radiative transfer in semi-transparent media in Hendaye in October.
This site now lists TAMARYS, PaRaMetriC and the IR-EMPOWER series in a new Research networks & consortia section of the research map.
